The 2006 NW HOVER-IN was held the 3rd week end in Aug at River Oaks RV Park on the Cowlitz River just off the I-5 free-way in Washington State. We had 9 craft, 20 vehicles, and about 45 people camping. The weather and river were perfect, the only problems we had was with a poor ramp and the camp grounds was too small as every time some one launched their craft some of the campers got dusted.
I'll post pics later as I'm having problems with my camera program and can't down load any pics at this time and I'm also just learning how to opperate this web site so bear with me.

The 2007 NW HOVER-IN will be held at Pekin Landing on the Lewis River at Woodland Washington just off the I-5 free-way, the date will be the 3rd week-end in Aug again (17-18-19) but as of this date that hasn't been confirmed yet. I will post pics and links about the area a little later.
Check out LEWISRIVER.COM  for services and other events at Woodland. If you are interested in flowers, Woodland had a big Tulip bulb company, they also have boat races at one of the lakes.
UPDATE-10/04/06. I called Pekin Landing today to regester us for next year and they said that they won't take any regestations until after the first of the year, so be sure to check for comformation of Hover-in dates around February.
UPDATE-01/09/07. It is official, the NW-HOVER-IN will be Aug. 17/18/19 at Pekin Landing, Woodland Washington. They said that they don't have the showers in yet but are hopping to have them in by summer.

DIRICTIONS: Take I-5 freeway to EXIT 16, if you are traveling North turn Left at the stop sign, traveling south turn Right at the stop sign, stay on that road, it will have two (2) 90 degree turns, first to the right then to the left, Make the turns, the road will change names, ignore that, the last name should be Pekin Ferry Road, if you miss the road sign that's ok, just don't make any turns after the second 90, follow the road to the end, if you see a wind mill on your right shortly after the second 90 then you're on the correct road, it may look like you're going into the pucky brush (you are), but it's asphault all the way to the end, the last quarter mile will be only about 1 lane wide.
If you have any questions mail me at "bandit1538 at yahoo dot com", I hope to see all the people from last year plus a hover load of new people, tell all your hover buddys to come, Thank You..........Pat Conrad

UPDATE-1/31/07.  RALLY REGISTRATION: This site doesn't support a page where you will be able to fill out a rally registration form, so what I did was create a new e-mail address that you can mail your info to.      What I need is:
  1. How many people in your party.
  2. What you are driving, ie; truck with camper, or car with tent, or motor home, and if you are pulling a trailer, and what type of craft you're bringing.
  3. When you expect to arrive and leave.
I will take this info to the camp ground three weeks before the rally so they will know if they have to order more prota potties. The registration address is nw_hover_in@yahoo.com
It may not show it on the link, but the address looks like this  nw_hover_in
I will check the mail about once a week and reply to you, if you don't get a reply within two weeks then mail me at .......bandit 1538 at yahoo dot com,     Thank You......Pat

UPDATE-2/25/07. Amended 7/2/07 These are suggested rules
1. All animals must be on a leash at all times unless in a vehicle. (Husband excluded)
2. All craft should have guards and comply with USCG rules.
3. No craft running after dark. (some of us old farts like to get to sleep early.)
4. There is a "NO WAKE" rule in front of the ramp extending a couple hundered feet up
and down river, I know we don't creat a wake but we have to obey the speed limit.
5. You are required to have fun.
UPDATE-3/24/07.  Here is the web site for t-shirts, coffee mugs, ect.
                                   http://www.cafepress.com/nwhoverin
UPDATE-6/17/07. I talked to the owners of the camp grounds today and  he told me
that they won't have the showers in by our rally, so I'm going to buy a protable unit
so that we will have a shower, it will be a single unit and I'll ask for donations to help
pay for it, I was thinking of maybe $1 per shower. If the camp grounds still don't put in
any showers then when the first one is paid for then I'll buy a second one.

UPDATE-7/2/07.  I have dropped buying the shower for this year, it's just too spendy
($700+) . The camping rates are $15 per nite, this includes a motor home towing
another vehicle. Visitor parking for the day is $5.

UPDATE-8/9/07.  If you're looking for motels just search "motels Woodland Wa.
The rates run from $35 on up.

  The 2008 NW HOVER-IN
will be held on AUG. 15-16-17 at Pekin Landing again, check above for directions. The events planed so far is a pot luck on Saturday at 6 pm, I will post on the builder nets later in July & Aug. as to what people will be bringing. Also thinking of having a group run across the Columbia River to either St. Helens or Scappoose Ore. for lunch. Any ideas are welcome.
